DANCER

Jackie has danced professionally in both Canada and the United States. A versatile performer, she is known for her  passion, energy, and strong sense of athleticism.

Throughout career, Jackie has had the opportunity to perform in a wide variety of genres and venues, ranging from upbeat showgirl performances, to postmodern dance. Selected performance credits include: Backhausdance (“Incandescent”), Shield Wall Dance Company, TDC Entertainment Inc., and in the Footprints concert at the American Dance Festival.

Jackie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts: Dance Performance from Chapman University, where she graduated “Magna Cum Laude,” and received the “Academic Excellence” award for achieving the highest GPA in her graduating cohort. While at Chapman, Jackie danced in Fall Dance Concert for all four years of attendance, and was afforded the opportunity to perform restagings of works by Jiri Kylian and Merce Cunningham. She was also cast in numerous student works and projects. In addition, Jackie was a member of the hip hop group, Floor 13, and also performed in several Greek Life events.

Prior to her post-secondary education, Jackie trained competitively in the Greater Toronto Area. During this period she competed in both the U.S. and Canada, earning several top marks and adjudicators’ awards. Jackie also completed her Intermediate examinations in both the Cecchetti (Highly Commended) and Royal Academy of Dance (Distinction) syllabi.
