CHOREOGRAPHER

Jackie fell in love with the art of choreography while attending Chapman University, leading her to create five different pieces during her academic career. This later led to her to present her work at two festivals in the Orange County area: The OC SoCal Dance Invitational, and the APA Dance Festival, the latter of which earned her the “Grand Prize” for her piece “dis:Connect.” Jackie’s pieces are created from a drive to combine large movements with of music visualization, while aiming to stretch the athletic limits of her dancers.

Currently, Jackie specializes in contemporary, lyrical, and jazz choreography at the studio level. Her pieces have earned several overalls and special awards, and have been consistently noted for their storytelling, athleticism, and musicality. In all of her pieces, Jackie strives to both showcase and challenge her dancers, and creates each piece to the strengths of the artists.
